The Bernice Summerfield audio dramas were the first audio dramas that Big Finish produced, adapting four Virgin New Adventures novels to remove the Doctor and feature Bernice ("Benny") Summerfield, her ex-husband Jason Kane, the Doctor's brother Irving Braxiatel and others. While the audios and most of the novels cover the life of Bernice Summerfield after she left the Seventh Doctor, at least one novel so far, and some short fiction has portrayed Benny's life long before she met him.
